Arman Tsarukyan vs. Georgio Poullas 2 set for RAF 7 as lightweight’s UFC future remains foggy

UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan and influencer Georgio Poullas will run it back on the mats at RAF 7 after their viral brawl.

UFC star Arman Tsarukyan and social media influencer Georgio Poullas concluded their Real American Freestyle wrestling match with a wild brawl. After several questionable tactics by Poullas throughout their RAF 6 match, resulting in an all-out fist fight between Tsarukyan, Poullas, and their respective teams.

Tsarukyan and Poullas have traded barbs in recent days since their viral brawl last weekend in Arizona. The two athletes were originally targeting a rematch under the Hype Brazil banner, before Poullas withdrew from negotiations to pursue a potential second matchup with Tsarukyan in RAF.

Less than a week since their grudge match, Tsarukyan and Poullas will run it back at RAF 7.

As first reported by RAF officials on Friday, Tsarukyan vs. Poullas 2 is set for RAF 7 on March 28th in Tampa, Florida. The match will be contested at middleweight and will be broadcast live on the home for RAF, Fox Nation.

Three days ago, former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo publicly called for RAF to book the Tsarukyan vs. Poullas rematch. Shortly after Cejudo’s social media post, RAF delivered.

Tsarukyan’s upcoming rematch against Poullas comes at a time when the top UFC lightweight remains unbooked for his next appearance in the Octagon. He hasn’t fought since submitting Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar last year.

Despite a checkered relationship between Tsarukyan and the matchmakers in recent years, Tsarukyan got some good news in a recent conversation with UFC CBO Hunter Campbell. Depending on the result of the UFC 326 main event this weekend, Tsarukyan could be next for the Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira 2 winner.

Tsarukyan is also allegedly in discussions to fight the winner of the lineal lightweight title fight (Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje) at a later date.

The full RAF 7 card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
