Alistair Overeem has explained why he believes Anthony Joshua could run into some problems against Francis Ngannou.

Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou

Tonight, Francis Ngannou will go head to head with Anthony Joshua in a blockbuster boxing match. It serves as just the second pro outing for Ngannou following his incredible bout with Tyson Fury. As for Joshua, he’s hoping to make a statement by putting a real beating on the former UFC heavyweight champion.

One man who knows what it’s like to stand across from Francis is none other than Alistair Overeem. In their collision, Ngannou knocked Overeem out cold with a nasty uppercut.

In a recent interview, Alistair gave his thoughts on the superfight and where he thinks Joshua could improve.

Overeem’s Joshua/Ngannou assessment

“In this fight, I can see a Francis Ngannou who is more confident and when I look at Anthony Joshua, he had a lot of fights right so his fight rhythm is high but I’m not seeing the same confidence and as a fighter, I pay attention to those things. Those small little details, and also, the weight difference.”
