Dana White blew a gasket following a production flub during the UFC 329 broadcast.

White was quite busy during Saturday’s event, which capped off International Fight Week inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A slew of noteworthy guests were in attendance for UFC 329, including current junior welterweight champion Shakur Stevenson. Recently, Zuffa Boxing signed Stevenson to a deal in what is widely viewed as the promotion’s biggest fighter acquisition to date.

Despite the pomp and circumstance, Stevenson’s appearance on Saturday’s broadcast drew unwanted attention. A graphic appeared on the screen and mistook Stevenson for NBA star Jalen Williams.

This isn’t the first time UFC’s production team has gotten a boxer’s name wrong, and White was fuming over the botch. During the UFC 329 post-fight press conference, White made it clear that his production team has some work to do with naming celebrities.

“I just paid Shakur Stevenson a [expletive] amount of money, and for some reason, we can’t figure this celebrity [expletive] out,” White said. “They put him up as a [expletive] OKC NBA player. Are you [expletive] kidding me? It’s absolutely crazy. We are the absolute worst to ever do the celebrity thing.”

White then recalled a humorous conversation he had with someone backstage during the ordeal.

“I just had this [expletive] debate in the back with my guys while I was screaming at everybody back there, and they said, ‘No, soccer’s worse. Soccer shows the people and they don’t put up any graphics.’ Oh no, we put up [expletive] graphics and put the wrong guy’s name on it. We win. We’re the worst ever to [expletive] do it.”

During the UFC 306 broadcast back in 2024, future boxing Hall of Famer Terence Crawford was greeted with a graphic that mistook him for rapper Kendrick Lamar. The mistake went viral much like the recent blunder with Stevenson, and White is at his wits’ end.
