Don’t expect to see former UFC title challenger Alexander Gustafsson back in the octagon any time soon.

“The Mauler” recently took to social media where he shared the following photo fresh out of shoulder surgery.

“UPDATE! Op done ✅ Got my shoulder fixed, feel great, been 3 month with a plate keeping my collarbone in place! Now rehab and slowly getting back in 100% training! Can’t wait to get back to the octagon 🏆” – Alexander Gustafsson

Gustafsson was last seen in action this past May where he scored a fifth-round knockout victory over former title challenger Glover Teixeira.

That win marked the Swede’s second victory in a row, as Gustafsson had previously defeated Jan Blachowicz via unanimous decision.

“The Mauler” has gone 3-3 over his past six fights overall, suffering losses to Jon Jones, Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier in that time.
