Though Faber has plenty on the go with which to support himself in his post-fighting life, he was compensated quite well for the final fight of his career. He will not go hungry any time soon, having earned more than any other fighter on the UFC on Fox 22 bill with a payday of $320,000.

Faber’s payday more than quintupled that of UFC on Fox’s next highest earner, Sage Northcutt. The 20-year-old prospect pocketed $60,000 for his losing effort against fellow up-and-comer Mickey Gall. In victory, Gall pocketed $40,000.

Other big earners of the night included Paige VanZant, who earned $43,000 for her loss to Michelle Waterson in the main event, Alan Jouban, who took home $54,000 for his main card defeat of Mike Perry, and Eddie Wineland, who earned $59,000 for his first-round TKO of Takeya Mizugaki.
