UFC on FOX 31 Results: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2

The octagon returns to Milwaukee this evening for the promotions UFC on FOX 31 event. The fight card is headlined by a lightweight rematch between Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta. Lee and Iaquinta first met at UFC 169 in February of 2014, with “Raging Al” emerging victortious by way of unanimous decision.

Having been set to return at UFC 233 on January 26 against John Lineker, a shoulder injury threw the fight into question and after the card’s cancellation as a whole, it appears that the fight won’t be rebooked. At least anytime soon.

Over the last few months, UFC welterweight prospect Mickey Gall has made several callouts of The Ultimate Fighter season 1 winner Diego Sanchez. “The one I want the most is, I like Diego Sanchez,” Gall told ESPN recently. “The guy is a fucking legend, I’d love to fight Diego Sanchez. So that’s the one I’m hoping for,” he said. “He’s got a fight next, that could get lined up perfectly. So if he wants to do it, I would love to fight a legend like Diego Sanchez. It’s the one I want the most so it’s the one I am pushing for.”

Originally, streaking UFC flyweight contender Andrea Lee was expected to meet Australia’s Jessica-Rose Clark on the undercard of this weekend’s UFC Milwaukee event. Unfortunately, this exciting flyweight matchup was nixed when Clark was deemed unfit to compete by the UFC medical team. UFC statement on JRC: "On Friday morning UFC flyweight Jessica-Rose Clark was deemed medically unfit to compete by UFC physicians.
