A lightweight bout between veterans Jim Miller and Charles Oliveira took place on tonight’s UFC on FOX 31 main card from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jim Miller entered tonight’s contest on the heels of a sensation first-round submission victory over Alex White at UFC 228 in September.
The win snapped a four-fight losing skid for the fan favorite.
Meanwhile, Charles Oliveira entered tonight’s fight with Jim Miller on a two-fight winning streak. “Do Bronx” earned both of those victories by way of submission, finishing Clay Guida and Christos Giagos.
Round one of this UFC on FOX 31 lightweight bout begins and Charles Oliveira snaps off a low kick. Miller comes forward with a kick of his own, but Oliveira steps in and grabs double under hooks. The Brazilian takes Miller to the canvas and quickly transitions to his back. Oliveira immediately begins searching for a rear-naked choke. He sinks in his forearm and begins to crank the hold. Jim Miller has no choice but to tapout. Wow! What a performance from Charles Oliveira!
