Sean Strickland thinks UFC deserves blame if things get out of hand between himself and Khamzat Chimaev. Strickland is scheduled to challenge Chimaev for the middleweight gold in the UFC 328 headliner on May 9. This one goes beyond the 185-pound hardware, as there is some high animosity between both combatants. Chimaev has threatened to take things to the streets, while Strickland has warned that he would shoot “Borz” and his team if they try to jump him.

If Khamzat Chimaev makes the jump to light heavyweight, Khalil Rountree believes the division is in trouble. Rountree is a top 205-pound contender who has gotten the chance to train with Chimaev. “Borz” currently holds the middleweight gold, but he has teased moving up in weight. Many believe that Chimaev will end up making the jump sooner rather than later.

Aaron Pico will don the wrestling singlet once again as the UFC star will compete under the Real American Freestyle banner against a former PFL kingpin. The former multi-time titleholder inside the PFL smart cage is Lance Palmer, who was also a former Ohio State All-American, and he will wrestle Pico in St. Louis at RAF 10 on June 13th. Pico was a standout American wrestling prospect before getting into MMA, and he came just a single victory short of representing America in the 2016 Olympics. The former Bellator MMA product looks to gain momentum with consecutive wins in different competitive disciplines after recently securing his first win inside the UFC. Pico did this at UFC 327 against fellow former Bellator MMA alum and multi-division Bellator champ Patricio Pitbull when the former bested the latter via unanimous decision.

UFC fan favorite Johnny Walker’s most recent outing against former title challenger Dominick Reyes at UFC 327 wasn’t well-received by the fans earlier this month. In what was expected to be a back-and-forth battle with a potential highlight-reel finish, Walker and Reyes opted for a slow-paced fight that left the Kaseya Center crowd antsy.

Arman Tsarukyan got a swift response from Khabib Nurmagomedov after claiming he had his gym built by the Russian government. Top UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan was supposed to face Khabib Nurmagomedov’s protege, then-lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, at UFC 311 before withdrawing on hours’ notice due to an injury. After the withdrawal, Tsarukyan has had a long path back to another lightweight title shot, even with Makhachev out of the division.

Strickland is known for making some off-the-wall comments, but some are concerned given his latest remark. Both Chimaev and Strickland have threatened to take things to the streets amid some heated trash talk. Strickland went as far as to say he would shoot Chimaev and his team if they attempted to jump him.
