VIDEO| Watch Stipe Miocic train in a ballerina’s tutu

By Tom Taylor - February 3, 2017

Stipe Miocic is many things. He’s the UFC heavyweight champion and, as such, the consensus best heavyweight fighter on earth. He’s a full-time firefighter. He’s a talented wrestler, boxer and baseball player. He’s also an aspiring ballerina – at least that’s what his latest post to Twitter seems to imply.

In this video, the heavyweight champ can be seen sparring with a training partner, decked out in a tutu. The video is accompanied by the caption: “Best way to start your day is watching a video of me working on my footwork in a tutu.” If you say so, Stipe!

When we last saw the tutu-wearing heavyweight champion in action, he knocked out Alistair Overeem in the first round to defend his crown. Miocic scored this thrilling win in front of his hometown in Cleveland, Ohio. This impressive defeat of Overeem was proceeded by a thunderous, first-round knockout of Fabricio Werdum, which earned him the heavyweight strap. His third most recent victory, finally, occurred in January of 2016, when he clobbered former heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski to a first-round knockout. With these latest wins, he extended his overall record to 16-2.

At the moment, it is not known who will provide Miocic’s next challenge. For a time, it looked as though his next challenger would be produced by a December Fabricio Werdum vs. Cain Velasquez rematch. When Velasquez was forced out of the bout with an injury, however, these plans were nixed. Since then, Werdum has called has called for a rematch with Miocic, though it is not known whether he’ll be granted the opportunity. Instead, it looks as though the next heavyweight title shot could go to former Junior Dos Santos, who is the last man to beat Miocic.
