According to Review Journal, prosecutors say that War Machine found Thomas and Mackinday sleeping in bed together at her home and beat up Thomas for nearly 10 minutes before he could leave and then proceeded to beat Mackinday up for over two hours. Mackinday suffered a “blowout fracture of her left eye and several other broken bones in her face, two missing teeth, a lacerated liver, broken ribs and serious bruising in several places.”

Prosecutors say that War Machine told Mackinday, “This is it. I’ve got to kill you now,” in the incident.

Defense attorney Jay Leiderman stated during the trial on Monday that Mackinday often shared “rape fantasies” with War Machine. “Public discussions about sex and rape were commonplace,” according to Leiderman.

Thomas testified in court on Monday, stating that War Machine jumped on him while he was in bed with Mackinday and repeatedly punched him in the face, even biting him on the face and arm. The two men ended up on the floor and where War Machine then put Thomas in a chokehold where he was eventually able to break free and leave the house, bleeding with a broken nose.

This is when prosecutors say that Mackinday was beaten up by War Machine for over two hours before she was able to get out of her house where she ran naked, bloodied, and beaten to a neighbor’s house.

The case was expected to resume Tuesday in court.
