Tai Tuivasa is apologetic after failing to secure his first victory since 2022 following UFC Perth.

Tuivasa was in action this past Saturday in hopes of snapping his losing streak against Louie Sutherland. “Bam Bam” ultimately dropped a unanimous decision, and has now suffered seven straight defeats.

After the fight, Tuivasa took to his Instagram account to issue an apology to his supporters. In the face of adversity, the fan favorite heavyweight insists he isn’t giving up.

“SORRY,” Tuivasa wrote. “I tried I felt good I put in the work didn’t get result. I feel like a shit cunt let my fans down again. Back to the drawing board for me. Cunt of a sport.

“BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE UP IM FROM WESTERNSYDNEY YOU GOTTA PUT ME OUT FOR ME TO GIVE UP.

“Sorry all my loyal fans I really am and to my team love yahs.”

Tuivasa’s last victory occurred back in February 2022. He scored a second-round knockout victory over Derrick Lewis. It’s been downhill from there for “Bam Bam.”

Back-to-back knockout losses to Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich set Tuivasa back from being a top contention. The skid then spiraled with submission losses to Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Tallison Teixeira ended up serving Tuivasa’s next two losses. With the latest loss to Sutherland, many are wondering if Tuivasa’s time under the UFC banner is over.

Prior to Saturday’s event, Sutherland suffered back-to-back first-round finishes. This was his first win under the UFC banner. It’s also the first time Sutherland has gone the distance in a year.
