UFC Fight Night 107 Bonus Report

Gunnar Nelson

Today’s UFC Fight Night 107 event in London, England, delivered some memorable fights and solid finishes.

With that said, UFC President Dana White handed out four “Performance of the night” awards at today’s UFC Fight Night 107 post-fight press conference.

Those $50,000 ‘UFC Fight Night 107’ bonuses went to the following fighters:

Performance of the night bonus – Jimi Manuwa took home an extra $50k for his sensational one punch knockout victory over Corey Anderson. After a bit of a feeling out process, “The Poster Boy” was able to catch Anderson with a thunderous left hand that sent Corey crashing to the canvas midway through the opening round. (See that here). Following his main event win, Manuwa called out the winner of next month’s UFC light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson.

Performance of the night bonus – Gunnar Nelson earned an extra $50K for his second-round submission victory over Alan Jouban. Nelson was able to utilize his strong grappling skills to overwhelm Jouban in the latter portion of the fights first-round. Then early in the second round Gunnar rocked Jouban with a left hand and quickly capitalized with a submission finish. (See that here).

Performance of the night bonus – Marlon Vera earned a $50k bonus for his shocking third-round knockout victory over veteran Brad Pickett. (See that here). “One Punch” utilized some effective takedowns in the bouts first ten minutes before Vera was able to turn the tide round three. With just over a minute remaining in the fight, Marlon would catch Pickett with a high kick and then finish him with a hammer fist spoiling the veterans swan song (retirement fight).

Performance of the night bonus – Marc Diakiese picked up the evenings fourth and final performance bonus for his brutal knockout victory over Teemu Packalen. (See that here). Diakiese was able to land a perfectly timed right hand on Teemu that sent the Finish fighter crashing to the canvas just thirty seconds into the bouts opening round.
