Tomorrow night in Las Vegas, Team Alpha Male product Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt will face undefeated bantamweight Thomas Almeida in a highly anticipated bantamweight showdown.

Ahead of the fight, Garbrandt is as confident as can be, likely given his training regimen as well as his undefeated 8-0 record, with all his wins coming by KO/TKO.

He spoke to the Las Vegas Sun to discuss the bout:

“A lot of people seem to forget that I asked for this fight,” Garbrandt said. “I asked for (John) Lineker, I asked for Almeida and then I’m asking for a title shot.”

“I like the street-fight mentality,” Garbrandt said. “Kill or be killed and that’s what I’m there to do. I like to engage in the emotions and the adrenaline.”

“Once I hit him once it’s going to turn into a brawl I know it,” Garbrandt said. “And that’s what I’m waiting for because I’m a better brawler than him, I’m a better fighter than him and I’m a better martial artist than him.”

Almeida is currently 21-0 in his professional MMA career, going 4-0 in the UFC so far, with 3 of those wins coming by KO. In addition, he sits at #8 on the UFC’s bantamweight ladder. Given that, a win for both men could mean a #1 contender fight against the winner of TJ Dillashaw vs. Raphael Assuncao at UFC 200.
