UFC star Sean Strickland has blamed the left for his defeat to Dricus du Plessis earlier this year.

At UFC 297, Sean Strickland went head to head with Dricus du Plessis. Despite his best efforts, though, he came up short, falling to a decision loss at the hands of the South African champion. In the process, Sean lost the middleweight championship, which he had captured from Israel Adesanya just a few months prior.

Now, many are wondering what the future holds for him. There’s been a suggestion that he could get an immediate rematch, with the man himself pushing for it.

In his latest tweets, however, he’s given his thoughts on why exactly he wasn’t given the decision nod against DDP.

Strickland’s fury

“And man I don’t wanna pull this card but when does the champ ever lose a close fight? When you’re in Canada with a bunch of dirty f***ing leftist.”
“Oh look another leftist “cancel sean”. Americans don’t want PRIDE month, they don’t want STRAIGHT month. They want you to stay the f*** out of our lives. I have gay fans and I value their support. I support them. Be gay, be straight WE don’t care. You are the problem not US.”

Sean is easily one of the most intriguing fighters on the UFC roster, and in all of mixed martial arts. With that being said, he’s also well aware of the fact that he has a lot of fans and critics in equal measure.
