Sean Strickland calls for rematch with Dricus Du Plessis: “They give izzy a rematch to alex after getting slept..”

UFC star Sean Strickland has called for a middleweight championship rematch with rival Dricus du Plessis.

Earlier this year, Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis went to war in what proved to be a fascinating encounter. The two battled it out over the UFC middleweight championship, with du Plessis managing to get his hand raised in victory. Strickland, of course, wasn’t too pleased about the result, as du Plessis gears up for his next challenge – which could well be a showdown with former champion Israel Adesanya.

As for Sean, his priority as of late has been staying active on social media. When it comes to creating controversy, there are few better than him in all of mixed martial arts.

In terms of staying active, however, Strickland recently used X to declare that he wants another crack at becoming world champion.

Strickland wants du Plessis rematch

In terms of an immediate rematch, it certainly isn’t outside the realm of possibility depending on the UFC’s plans. With that being said, Adesanya’s star power likely puts him above Strickland in the pecking order – at least for the time being.

Either way, you won’t find many fans who wouldn’t be interested in seeing them run things back.
