He was effective in keeping his range, but once Pyfer closed the distance, it was the beginning of the end. Adesanya decided to trade with Pyfer and it led to him getting peppered on the feet.

It only took Chiesa just over a minute to submit Price via rear-naked choke. “The Maverick” has ended his pro MMA career on a four-fight winning streak.

Valentina Shevchenko has fired back at Khabib Nurmagomedov over his opinion of women’s MMA. Nurmagomedov has long opposed women competing in MMA, expressing his belief that they should fulfill traditional roles. “The Eagle” also doesn’t like seeing women get hit in general, and would rather they focus on family life instead of prizefighting.

Dana White has lashed out at those criticizing UFC for AI use during promos. A slew of companies have been heavily criticized for AI use in place of actual artists. The general consensus online is that using AI to replace actual artwork is lazy and cheap. While some have responded by ditching the technology, White is taking his usual stoic stance.

Maycee Barber’s team has provided an update on their fighter after a brutal night in Seattle. Barber shared the Octagon with former UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Alexa Grasso this past Saturday inside the Climate Pledge Arena. In the opening frame, Grasso dropped Barber and instantly transitioned to a choke before the fight was stopped. As it turned out, Barber had been knocked out before the choke was even applied.

The Octagon returned to Climate Pledge Arena for tonight’s UFC Seattle event, and four fighters wound up taking home performance bonuses. The fight card was headlined by a highly anticipated middleweight matchup featuring Israel Adesanya taking on Joe Pyfer. The bout proved to be a wild back and forth affair. Adesanya got off to a strong start in the opening round and appeared to have the lead leg of Pyfer in all sorts of trouble. However, ‘Bodybagz’ took advantage of Izzy’s aggression and was able to score a big takedown and take full mount in round two. From there, Pyfer unleashed a plethora of ground and pound which ultimately led to the referee stoppage. It was an impressive win for the American, and a ‘what could have been’ loss for ‘Stylebender’.
