UFC Seattle Results: Joe Pyfer TKO’s Israel Adesanya (Video)

We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC Seattle results, including the middleweight main event between Israel Adesanya and Joe Pyfer.

Adesanya (24-6 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping a three-fight losing skid. The promotion‘s former middleweight champion most previously competed 13 months ago in Saudi Arabia, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Nassourdine Imavov (see that here). Prior to that, Izzy was coming off defeats to Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland respectively.

Meanwhile, Joe Pyfer (16-3 MMA) is currently sporting a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming by way of submission over Abus Magomedov this past October at UFC 320. Prior to that triumph, ‘Bodybagz’ had earned wins over Kelvin Gastelum and Marc-Andre Barriault.

Round one of the UFC Seattle headliner begins and Joe Pyfer takes the center of the cage. He swings and misses with a low kick. Israel Adesanya answers with a low kick and then one upstairs. Pyfer shoots in for a takedown. Izzy defends, but Joe has a solid body lock. He pushes the former champ against the cage and continues to work for a takedown. Adesanya breaks free and gets back to range. A pair of kicks both land for Izzy. Joe Pyfer lands a nice 1-2. Adesanya with a nice jab and then a knee that appeared to hit the chin of his opponent. Pyfer with a big left hook in return. Israel Adesanya with a nice jab. Pyfer continues to hunt with big shots. He forces the clinch, but Izzy quickly breaks free. Adesanya with a question mark kick that almost connects. A good body shot from Pyfer. Izzy answers with a hard low kick. A nice low kick in return by the American. Adesanya over the top with a right hand and then a low kick. Joe Pyfer gets in on a takedown attempt and lands it. He gets off a pair of punches before the horn sounds to end the opening round.

Round two of the UFC Seattle main event begins and Israel Adesanya just misses with a big right. He lands a powerful low kick. An accidental eye poke causes a brief pause in the action. We restart and Pyfer’s lead leg might be hurt. Adesanya attacks it again. A good jab from Izzy. ‘Bodybagz’ answers with a straight right. He shoots for a takedown. Adesanya stays up and lands a right. Pyfer retreats. Izzy with a good 1-2. Joe Pyfer with a pair of rights. Adesanya with a good right and then a head kick. Pyfer with a big shot. He scores a big takedown and moves to mount almost immediately. Pyfer with a body triangle as he takes the back. Israel Adesanya is defending a rear-naked choke attempt. Pyfer opts to land shots. Izzy is not defending. Herb Dean steps in and this one is all over! WOW!
