More of Team Alpha Male has been training with the Elevation Fight Team in Colorado after T.J. Dillashaw jumped ship. The members of Team Alpha male including Dillashaw basically had to choose sides between coaches Urijah Faber and Duane Ludwig after their falling out. Team Alpha Male fighter Cody Garbrandt spoke with Submission Radio recently on the split between some of the team and if he would ever go to train with the Elevation crew (transcribed by MMA Fighting):

In Donald Cerrone’s fight with Rafael dos Anjos earlier this year, ‘Cowboy’ wore a small piece of cloth on his shorts which he has worn in all of his fights throughout his career. The difference in the dos Anjos fight was that under the new Reebok deal, Cerrone was fined for violating the ‘outfitting policy’.

Earlier this week it was revealed that former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones had been pulled over for driving without a license, insurance card, or registration back in January. While many were worried that this could potentially violate Jones’ probation handed to him after his hit-and-run incident last year, Jones was ordered to perform more community service appearances for the tickets.

This past Saturday at ‘UFC Fight Night: Las Vegas’ Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson shocked the world as he ran right through former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks. Thompson showed that his style of kickboxing works against elite level wrestlers such as Johny Hendricks as he picked up an impressive 1st round TKO win. With the win over Hendricks, Thompson found himself in an interesting position in a stacked UFC welterweight division. After Johny Hendricks was hospitalized due to a weight-cut mishap at UFC 192, the UFC promised Tyron Woodley the next fight against welterweight champion Robbie Lawler. However after the controversial split decision at UFC 195, Carlos Condit is campaigning for a rematch with Robbie Lawler.

While Conor McGregor is currently riding a 15 fight win streak that has seen him finish 6 of his 7 opponents in the Octagon, including Jose Aldo, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos plans to change that on March 5th at UFC 196. In the build-up leading to their scrap on March 5th, dos Anjos has stated that he doesn’t want to finish McGregor early, but rather would prefer to prolong the fight to put a beating on McGregor.

Following his 13 second KO loss to Conor McGregor, there was much speculation as to what would be next for former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo. McGregor booked a lightweight scrap at UFC 196 against Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight championship. In the mean time, Jose Aldo campaigned for an immediate rematch, stating that he didn’t care if the featherweight belt was on the line or not.

UFC Fight Night 82 Reebok pay for fighters ranges from $2,500 to $15,000

$145,000 was the total payout by Reebok for the exclusive uniform deal with the UFC for the UFC Fight Night 82 event that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night. The payout from Reebok is in addition to each fighter’s contracted fight pay with the UFC. Four fighters took home $15,000 for their appearance in the Octagon on Saturday night. Johny Hendricks, Roy Nelson, Joseph Benavidez and Mike Pyle all took home the highest checks from Reebok with only Hendricks losing in his bout to rising welterweight star Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
