Tough Guy Tuesday: Rick Tocchet

In this week’s segment of “Tough Guy Tuesday” we feature former National Hockey League forward Rick Tocchet.

Tocchet played a total of 18 seasons in the NHL, 11 of which were spent with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Rick also served as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals and Phoenix Coyotes during his NHL career.

In his 1,144 games played, Tocchet scored 440 goals and added 512 assists for a total of 952 career points.

Tocchet also posted an astonishing 2,972 penalty minutes during his 18-year National Hockey League career.

Rick’s best season came during the 1992-1993 campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he scored 48 goals and added 61 assists in 80 games played. Tocchet helped the Penguins repeat as Stanley Cup Champions that season (92/93).

As you can see in the above tribute video, Tocchet was not just a talented hockey player but also a very tough fighter.
