The former welterweight kingpin has been training, however there’s been no word yet on whether or not he will be returning to the Octagon. With Conor McGregor retiring yesterday, and subsequently being pulled from his UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz, many are wondering if St-Pierre will be tapped to fill in against Nate Diaz given that his talks with the UFC have reportedly been going well.

The Internet has blown up with everything Conor McGregor since the UFC featherweight champion tweeted on Tuesday out of nowhere that he has “decided to retire young.” UFC President Dana White announced later on Tuesday that McGregor was pulled off of the UFC 200 main event versus Nate Diaz stating that McGregor was unwilling to do a press conference for UFC 200 this week.

While UFC President Dana White has announced that Conor McGregor will no longer be fighting at UFC 200 after refusing to fulfill his media obligations, there has been some question as to whether or not he will remain the featherweight champion. McGregor announced on Twitter yesterday morning that he was retiring from MMA, which would mean that he will be forced to vacate his featherweight championship. However during an appearance on Fox Sports 1 Wednesday morning, Dana White explained that McGregor needs to clear things up if he plans on holding on to his featherweight championship.

The performance, as well as the end of the Mamba-Era, was the talk of sports news for quite some time. Yesterday however, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor announced his retirement from MMA. The UFC then pulled McGregor from his UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz on July 9th for refusing to fulfill media obligations.

With yesterday being the 2 year anniversary of Nurmagomedov’s win over RDA, ‘The Eagle’ sent a Tweet to the champ, which resulted in a Twitter war.

After SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh confirmed the news, UFC President Dana White went on SportsCenter to announce that McGregor had been pulled from UFC 200 for refusing to fulfill media obligations.

As many were expecting, Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone ‘knows a guy’ who is willing to step in and fight Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 200.
