Perhaps even then, everyone but the UFC may not be able to understand the decision to not have “The Notorious” on the card. UFC President Dana White spoke with TMZ late Monday on his way to watch Paige VanZant’s routine on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and spoke about the latest on the situation and McGregor’s odd tweet that he was “back on” for UFC 200.

UFC veteran Nate Diaz made it clear at the UFC 200 IFW Launch Event in Las Vegas last week that he was set on fighting Conor McGregor and wasn’t intereted in fighting another opponent. After Conor McGregor refused to take part in the UFC 200 media obligations to concentrate on training for the upcoming rematch with Diaz, “The Notorious” was pulled from the bout against Diaz by the UFC.

It is without a doubt that UFC featherweight Conor McGregor has all eyes and ears on him as the story of UFC 200 continues on to the next chapter. McGregor tweeted late Sunday that he and the UFC came to an agreement and was back on the UFC 200 card after being pulled off for refusing to take part in media obligations for the fight. UFC President Dana White later said on Monday to TMZ that nothing has changed since pulling “The Notorious” off the marquee UFC 200 card.

Current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier spoke with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour on Monday following his time doing color commentary for the UFC 197 broadcast over the weekend. Jon Jones was able to outpoint Ovince Saint Preux to win the interim title and will face Cormier next to unify the belts. If Cormier gets clearance from an MRI that is scheduled for late Monday, Jones and Cormier will headline UFC 200.

The 12-2 SBG teammate of Conor McGregor just released the news of his medical condition that has indefinitely sidelined him from the sport he has found much success in.

The Conor McGregor and UFC 200 story continues on after “The Notorious” tweeted late Sunday that he was back on UFC 200. Monday came around and Dana White denied McGregor’s claim and stated that he has not been put back on the marquee card. McGregor was spotted getting on a plane, likely leaving Iceland where he has been training with his team. McGregor’s longtime coach John Kavanagh spoke on the MMA Hour on Monday and acknowledged that they were no longer all training in Iceland.

Jones was supposed to rematch current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at the event, however “DC” was forced to pull out of the bout with an injury.

On Saturday night, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was able to secure the UFC interim light heavyweight title and his shot for the undisputed title against Daniel Cormier next. Jones fought a hard five-round fight against a game Ovince Saint Preux in the main event of UFC 197.

Ovince Saint Preux had a tall order in front of him at UFC 197 with just three weeks notice. “OSP” fought one of the greatest fighters to ever compete in mixed martial arts on Saturday night and came up short, but proved that he can fight with the best of them. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was able to secure the UFC interim light heavyweight title and shot at the undisputed title against Daniel Cormier with the win over Saint Preux.

McGregor was pulled from the card after refusing to complete his media obligations for the event. UFC President Dana White stated at the UFC 200 press conference on Friday that it wouldn’t be fair to McGregor to skip out on his obligations, when other fighters traveled from around the world to attend the press conference.

Jones was able to control the fight with “OSP” for the entire five-rounds, however many fans and analysts were not overly impressed with Jon’s performance.

Shortly after that, the UFC announced that they had pulled “Mystic Mac” from his scheduled UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz which was expected to headline UFC 200 this July in Las Vegas.
