VIDEO | Jon Jones explains why he gave Daniel Cormier the middle finger while leaving the Octagon

On Saturday night, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was able to secure the UFC interim light heavyweight title and his shot for the undisputed title against Daniel Cormier next. Jones fought a hard five-round fight against a game Ovince Saint Preux in the main event of UFC 197.

The rivalry between Jones and Cormier showed that it is still burning red hot as Cormier was cageside doing color commentary for the pay-per-view broadcast alongside Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg.

While leaving the Octagon after winning the match against Saint Preux, “Bones” made it a point to stop and make sure Cormier was looking in his direction before giving him the middle finger.

UFC President Dana White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that if Daniel Cormier clears an MRI on Monday, he would face Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 200. This was all reported before Conor McGregor announced late Sunday that he was back headlining UFC 200.
