Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones had to be wheeled around in a wheelchair backstage after beating Ovince Saint Preux in a tough five-round interim title fight at UFC 197 on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jones who had suffered swollen foot and shin in the fight with “OSP” took the wheelchair to get around backstage but insisted that he would be more than ready to face Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 in July. Saint Preux also suffered a broken left arm in the interim title fight battle.
However, the bumps and bruises that Jones suffered in the fight did not stop him from celebrating his win and having a good time in Las Vegas.
Jones posted a video of him riding around on a Rascal scooter, driving through the streets of Las Vegas following his first fight back in the Octagon since January 2015.
UFC President Dana White reportedly said that if Daniel Cormier clears an MRI on Monday, he would face Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 200. However, Conor McGregor announced late Sunday that he was back headlining UFC 200.
