The UFC released a statement on Friday that former UFC featherweight title contender Chad Mendes has been flagged by for a “potential Anti-Doping Policy violation.” The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) notified the UFC of the potential violation after an out-of-competition drug test was performed on Mendes.

Wednesday night after the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors game in Cleveland, Ohio, pop music star Justin Bieber started a brawl in Cleveland. Footage of the altercation shows Bieber punching the man, and then being thrown to the ground before bystanders pulled the man off Bieber.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency came to an agreement for the suspension of a UFC welterweight fighter after testing positive for a banned substance. Tim Means (25-7-1) and USADA agreed on a six-month suspension after Means tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in a Jan. 21 out-of-competition test.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was the only MMA fighter to rank in the Forbes list of top 100 highest paid athletes in the last 12 months. While other combat athletes made the list such as Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Canelo Alvarez, “The Notorious” stands out as the only MMA fighter.

This past weekend, Michael Bisping captured the UFC middleweight championship after nearly a decade in the promotion. Bisping, who stepped into the fight on just two weeks notice, went out and knocked out Luke Rockhold in the very first round of their main event scrap. Prior to the fight, Bisping stated that when he won the championship, he would let Chris Weidman be his first title defense. Now that he is the champion, he believes Weidman and Rockhold should fight to determine who he will defend his title against.

The dust seems to have settled from the UFC 199 incident where MMA journalist Ariel Helwani and his team were kicked out of the event and “banned for life” after Helwani broke the news of Brock Lesnar’s return to the Octagon set for UFC 200. The UFC has since lifted the ban on Helwani and his team, but the Diaz brothers made sure to not let the flame go out.

While Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor II was initially slated to headline UFC 200 on July 9th, McGregor was pulled from the event after refusing to fulfill his media obligations. To make up for the change, the UFC booked Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier II and Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt for the main event and co-main event. Recently, McGregor has been broken numerous UFC records, which has garnered numerous comparisons to Lesnar.
