When UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier found out that Jon Jones was pulled from their fight at UFC 200, he was miserable, to say the least. Cormier was looking to establish himself as one of the greats in his attempt to avenge his only loss to the oftentimes argued pound-for-pound king in Jones. However, just days ahead of their competition, Cormier had the opportunity snatched from him after Jones tested positive for banned substances and was pulled from their fight.

It has been eight months since we last seen former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in the Octagon. Rousey recently made an appearance at an event in Chicago and from the looks of the photo, it doesn’t look like Rousey has any plans of fighting anytime soon. Although the former champion has expressed interest in fighting on the New York card, she has not made any official announcement on fighting again since losing the belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November.

Immediately following UFC 200 on Saturday night, UFC President Dana White appeared on the Fox Sports 1 post-fight show, where he announced that Michael Bisping’s first title defense will likely be against Dan Henderson in Manchester, England. The MMA community was split in two over the bout, with some excited to see if Bisping could avenge his UFC 100 loss to Henderson, while others thought the fight made no sense given Henderson’s position in the UFC rankings.

Earlier this year, Dominick Cruz returned to the Octagon to fight TJ Dillashaw for the bantamweight championship he never lost inside the Octagon. Cruz, who had the belt stripped from him due to injuries, won the fight via split decision to reclaim his bantamweight championship. In the wake of TJ Dillashaw’s unanimous decision win over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 200, the former bantamweight champion took to Instagram to blast Cruz for wanting a superfight against Jose Aldo or Conor McGregor.
