USADA will continue to randomly test Brock Lesnar until official retirement

When it was announced that Brock Lesnar would be fighting at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt, the former heavyweight champion immediately became an active fighter in the eyes of USADA. While Lesnar was able to avoid the 4 month period of random drug testing prior to his UFC debut, he will now be subject to random testing until he officially announces his retirement. Following his UFC 200 win over Hunt, Lesnar sounded as though he would be open to fighting in the Octagon again in the future.

Bisping and Henderson have a history as Henderson knocked Bisping out in spectacular fashion at UFC 100 and “The Count” is looking for redemption, now as the middleweight champion.

Round one begins and after a long feel out both fighters trade punches. Both men are trading punches. A huge right hand lands for Lineker. McDonald is rocked. John is all over him. He’s landing huge shots. McDonald gets up. He lands a big right on Lineker. McDonald presses forward. Lineker catches him coming in. McDonald backs up to the fence. Lineker swarms him with punches. He drops McDonald. Michael pops up. Lineker drops him again. Michael tries to get up by Lineker is all over him. This one is all over. McDonald is out cold.

A lightweight bout between Tony Ferguson and Lando Vannata served as the co-main event of tonight’s UFC Sioux Falls fight card in South Dakota. Round one begins and Vannata is able to circle and land some good shots early. He lands a combo. Tony moves in and lands a kick. He lands a good left jab that drops Vannata. He quickly pops back to his feet and lands a spinning back fist that rocks Tony. Big right hands from Vannata. Tony is in trouble. Vannata presses forward and lands a punch. Ferguson with a spinning back fist. Vannata responds with a jab. These guys are going at it. Ferguson with a big shot and then another. Vannata shoots in but Tony stuffs the attempt. Vannata lands a big a shot and then another that drops Tony. Ferguson gets back to his feet but he is in real trouble. More shots from Vannata and Tony is back down. Vannata follows him there and lands some shots. Tony grabs a leg and searches for a heel hook. Vannata is able to find a way out of that submission but Tony goes for an arm. The submission attempt does not sink in. Round one comes to an end.

The Nevada Athletic Commission has set things in motion on dealing with Jon Jones and his potential Anti-Doping Policy violation. MMA journalist Shaheen Al-Shatti tweeted on Wednesday, “The Nevada Athletic Commission will hold a ‘hearing on extension of temporary suspension’ for Jon Jones at its Mon. July 18 meeting.”

A heavyweight bout between Alexey Oleinik and Daniel Omielanczuk took place during tonight’s UFC Fight Night main card in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Round one begins and both men waste no time getting down to business as they exchange bombs. Alexey ducks under and grabs a hold of Daniel and drags him to the ground. Oleinik moves in to half guard and then quickly transitions in to mount. Alexey is searching for submissions but Daniel is defending well. Eventually Alexey would take the back of his opponent but could not lock in a choke before round one comes to an end.

A welterweight bout between Keita Nakamura and Kyle Noke took place at tonight’s UFC Fight Night event in Sioux Falls. Kyle Noke found a home for his jab in the opening minute but Nakamura was able to take the early punishment. Noke with some good kicks to the body and the legs of Nakamura. Kyle with is still using his jab effectively. Keita responds with a nice hook. He misses with a front kick. Noke is circling and landing kicks when the opportunity presents itself. Nakamura lands a head kick and then a left hand. Noke wit a kick to the body of Keita. Nakamura responds with a nice combination. Kyle shoots in and lands a takedown. Keita quickly gets back to his feet. Noke misses with a combo but lands a back fist. He circles away and then lands a nice front kick when Nakamura comes in. The fighters trade punches to end round one.

UFC flyweight Louis Smolka put on an incredible performance at tonight’s UFC Fight Night event in Sioux Falls earning a second-round TKO victory over hometown favorite Ben Nguyen. The proud Hawaiian, Smolka, used some nasty ground and pound and excellent strikes which forced referee Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight.

After Cerrone’s comment was circulated all over the Internet, “Cowboy” was criticized by ONE Champion’s welterweight champ, Ben Askren. Askren addressed Cerrone directly in his Facebook video post saying, ““It’s disgusting and if you were actually half as tough as you talk or you think you are, somewhere in over the decade of mixed martial arts you’ve done you would have learned how to stop a takedown but you are weak and you aren’t smart.”
