Following Rory MacDonald’s unanimous decision loss to Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson last month, it was revealed that MacDonald would be testing free agency given that his UFC contract was up. Earlier this month, news surfaced that MacDonald and his management team were in negotiations with Bellator MMA. While nothing has been made official, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker revealed that negotiations are going well.

In the wake of Michael Page’s spectacular Bellator 158 knockout win over Evangelista Santos, it was revealed that the flying knee that finished Santos actually fractured his skull. Santos’ ex-wife, Cris Cyborg, started a GoFundMe to cover the cost of surgery for Santos to repair the damage to his skull.

Friday evening at Bellator 158, Michael ‘Venom’ Page extended his professional MMA record to 10-0 as he knocked out Evangelista Santos with a perfectly timed flying knee. Following the bout it was revealed that the knockout, which was certainly a spectacular one for Page, actually fractured Santos’ head. It was also revealed that Santos would need to undergo surgery for the injury.

Friday evening at Bellator 158, Michael ‘Venom’ Page picked up yet another spectacular knockout as he knocked out Evangelista Santos with a flying knee. The win was yet another impressive one for Page, who followed up the knockout by tossing a Pokeball at his opponent and throwing on a Pokemon hat.

This week, news surfaced that former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, had failed a pre-UFC 200 drug test. Immediately, the MMA community began ripping Lesnar to shreds over the “potential anti-doping violation” with his UFC 200 opponent, Mark Hunt even going as far as to demand 100% of Lesnar’s purse for the event.

The UFC has received quite a bit of criticism in the wake of the US Anti-Doping Agency revealing that Brock Lesnar failed a drug test in June prior to his UFC 200 co-main event scrap with Mark Hunt. Mark Hunt demanded that the UFC give him 50% of Brock Lesnar’s $2.5 million purse, then ultimately changing his mind and demanding 100% of Lesnar’s purse.

The event was an action packed one, headlined by a pivotal bantamweight bout between Michael McDonald and John Lineker. Lineker picked up an early and impressive KO victory over McDonald, moving him up to #5 on the UFC’s official bantamweight ladder.

In the wake of USADA announcing that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar had failed a random drug test leading up to his UFC 200 scrap with Mark Hunt, ‘The Super Samoan’ has been very vocal about wanting compensation for fighting someone on PEDs. Hunt initially demanded 50% of Lesnar’s purse, before then demanding 100% of the $2.5 million Lesnar was paid. In addition, Hunt demanded that if the UFC wouldn’t make up for the situation, he wanted to be released from his contract.

Despite the UFC waiving the mandatory 4 month transitionary period for fighters coming out of retirement, during which they are subject to random USADA drug testing, USADA managed to test Brock Lesnar 6 times in 1 month leading up to his UFC 200 fight with Mark Hunt. Saturday morning, USADA spokesman Ryan Madden revealed to Fox Sports that Lesnar had actually passed all of his other drug tests leading up to the event.

Back in June, USADA randomly drug tested Brock Lesnar ahead of his UFC 200 fight with Mark Hunt. Lesnar failed the test, however USADA didn’t announce it until after Lesnar had already defeated Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 200. That didn’t sit too well with Hunt, who sustained injuries while fighting fighters using PEDs in the past.

Gadelha came out of the gate strong, putting the pressure on Jedrzejczyk throughout the first two rounds, however she gassed out quickly, and the champ was able to decisively win the last 3 rounds, ultimately retaining her title via unanimous decision.
