"Grateful" Jon Jones returns to Albuquerque, posts message of positivity

With just two days to go until UFC 200, former UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones was pulled from the event for a potential USADA anti-doping violation. Jones appeared at a press conference, where he addressed the situation and fielded questions from media members regarding the potential violation. During the course of the presser, Jones revealed that he would be returning home to Albuquerque rather than stay in Vegas to attend the event he was supposed to headline.

This past weekend, the UFC held its 200th Pay-Per View event. The historic UFC 200 event went down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and played host to a number of incredible bouts. Understandably so, the fights shook up the UFC’s official rankings. In addition, Jon Jones being pulled from UFC 200 for his potential USADA anti-doping violation shook up the pound for pound rankings.

For Lesnar, the return was a much more difficult one, with it being nearly 5 years since the former heavyweight champion stepped inside the Octagon. For Velasquez on the other hand, it was the first time he set foot inside the Octagon since his UFC 188 loss to Fabricio Werdum.
