The newest season of The Ultimate Fighter, which will be coached by UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and top contender Kelvin Gastelum will debut tonight. Once the show has been wrapped up, Whittaker is expected to defend his title against Gastelum — though the setting of this fight has not yet been determined. Speaking to reporters in LA this week, Whittaker updated on the hand injuries that he’s been dealing with, and gave a rough timetable for his anticipated return to action.

UFC bantamweight contender John Lineker wants a fight. Unfortunately, he’s having a hard time finding a willing dance partner. In fact, Lineker is getting so desperate for a fight that he recently offered to step in against towering featherweight contender Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC 228 — though this idea was shut down by the UFC. Still without an opponent for his next bout, Lineker recently took to Twitter to put his fellow bantamweight contenders on blast. He also joked that if nobody agrees to fight him, he might just move up two weight classes to the lightweight division.

Just when it looked like Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor’s beef was in the past, it seems to have heated back up. Over the weekend, Mayweather actually made some complimentary remarks about McGregor, and event invited the Irish star to come train at Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas ahead of his UFC 229 lightweight title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Darren Till missed weight for his last fight, a May decision defeat of Stephen Thompson. As a result, he’s got a lot of eyes on him as he prepares for his UFC 228 title fight with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. If he misses weight again, after all, he will not be eligible to win the title. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Till did not deny that his cut down to the welterweight division’s 170-pound limit has been miserable. That said, he seems to be on track.

One definite possibility is that Khabib Nurmagomedov drags Conor McGregor into a grappling hell he will not be able to withstand. Another is that McGregor leaves Nurmagomedov supine on the canvas, where he will slowly come to under the arena lights.
