UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski took a shot at UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo, and ‘Triple C’ responded in a funny social media exchange. Volkanovski joked that he should call out the loser of the featherweight undercard bout between Sodiq Yusuff and Andre Fili, which Yusuff won via unanimous decision, and tagged Cejudo in his Tweet. “The Great” was clearly taking a shot at Cejudo for his decision to fight Jose Aldo despite him coming off of a split decision loss to Marlon Moraes at UFC 245.

UFC women’s bantamweight star Holly Holm released a statement following her unanimous decision win over Raquel Pennington at UFC 246. Holm was able to pin Pennington against the fence and control her while also outstriking her opponent during their standup exchanges to pick up a clear-cut decision win. Holm previously defeated Pennington via split decision in her UFC debut back at UFC 184 in February 2015.

UFC women’s flyweight prospect Maycee Barber was blasted by veteran Lauren Murphy for taking the mic from Joe Rogan following her loss at UFC 246. Barber lost a lopsided decision to Roxanne Modafferi in what was one of the biggest upsets of all-time in UFC history according to the betting odds. Following the loss, Barber took the mic from Rogan before Modafferi did and spoke to the crowd.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor said that a rematch against UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov does not interest him at this time. McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone via first-round TKO in the main event of UFC 246. After the event, McGregor took part in a media scrum and was asked about a potential rematch with Nurmagomedov, his long-time rival. UFC president Dana White said after the event that he would like to see McGregor fight Nurmagomedov next.

UFC president Dana White said that Darren Till is injured and the promotion is looking for a new opponent against Jared Cannonier at UFC 248. Till this week was revealed as the replacement opponent for Robert Whittaker, who pulled out of UFC 248 due to personal issues. However, the UFC is once again looking for a new opponent for Cannonier because Till is also injured. According to White, Till injured his ankle and is out of UFC 248.

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman saw his Twitter hacked during UFC 246, but Conor McGregor isn’t necessarily buying the story. Usman’s Twitter account sent out several profanity-laced Tweets directed towards McGregor and his wife during UFC 246. At the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Usman’s Twitter was hacked.

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith scolded Donald Cerrone for an “atrocious” performance against Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 246. Cerrone was finished via strikes by McGregor early in the first round, his third straight TKO loss following defeats to Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson in his last two fights. Following the event, Smith appeared on the ESPN+ post-fight fight and ripped into Cerrone for what he deemed was a terrible performance.

UFC president Dana White says that he would like to see Conor McGregor fight UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in a rematch next. McGregor picked up his first win in MMA since 2016 on Saturday night when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in the first round of their fight at UFC 246. As soon as the fight was over, already there was talk about who would be McGregor’s next opponent.

Mayweather always tries to insert himself into the news even when he’s not the one competing. On Saturday, McGregor returned to the Octagon after a 14-month layoff to knock out Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246. Following the event, Mayweather teased a fight against McGregor and one against Nurmagomedov.

The former sparring partners fought each other at UFC Vancouver on September 14th 2019. The 31-year old revealed that Cerrone knocked him out during a sparring session, but Gaethje got his payback as he finished Cowboy in the first round of the main event.
