McGregor and Cerrone squared off in tonight’s event headliner with both men looking to rebound.

‘Mystic Mac’ was coming off a fourth round submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in his most recent effort at UFC 229 in October of 2018.

Meanwhile, Donald Cerrone was coming off back-to-back TKO losses which he suffered to perennial lightweight contenders Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje respectively.

Ultimately it was Conor McGregor who got his hand raised in tonight’s UFC 246 headliner.

The Irishman was able to dominate the fight right from the opening bell and ended up dropping a battered ‘Cowboy’ with a head kick. McGregor would follow up with some ferocious ground and pound which forced the referee to step in and stop the fight.

”I was blown away. He looked unbelievable.” Dana White said of Conor McGregor. “He won’t hear another peep from me about fighting at 170.”
