UFC 324 Results: Justin Gaethje defeats Paddy Pimblett (Highlights)

Gaethje (26-5 MMA) will be looking to reclaim the promotion‘s interim lightweight title when he collides with Pimblett in this evening’s main event. ‘The Highlight’ was most previously seen in action in March of 2025 at UFC 313, where he defeated Rafael Fiziev by unanimous decision in a ‘Fight of the Night‘ performance. Prior to that triumph, the 37-year-old has suffered a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Max Holloway at UFC 300.

Meanwhile, Paddy Pimblett (23-3 MMA) will enter tonight’s headliner sporting an eight-fight winning streak, his most recent victory coming by way of TKO over Michael Chandler at last April’s UFC 314 event. Prior to that win, ‘The Baddy’ was coming off a first-round submission victory over King Green at UFC 304.

Round one of this interim lightweight title fight begins and Justin Gaethje comes forward quickly. Paddy Pimblett keeps him at bay with a low kick. ‘The Baddy’ with a nice right hand over the top. He follows up with a body kick that partially connects. Gaethje looks to come forward. He eats a low kick but counters with a big right hand. Paddy eats it and circles out. A good knee from Paddy. ‘The Highlight’ answers with a big right hand. He lands an uppercut and Pimblett goes down. Big shots from Gaethje on the ground. He eventually lets Paddy back up. Round two of the UFC 324 main event begins and Justin Gaethje comes forward. Paddy Pimblett looks to counter with a left hook. He follows that up with a big low kick. ‘The Highlight’ with a big right. He grabs the neck of Paddy and drags him to the floor. ‘The Baddy’ gets up and lands a nice knee. Gaethje looking for a right hand. Paddy throws a kick and slips. Justin with a big elbow. He lunges forward with a 1-2. Pimblett with a knee. He circles to create some distance. Gaethje forces the clinch and lands some knees. Paddy breaks free and gets back to range. A nice uppercut and then a knee to the body by the Liverpool native. Justin Gaethje once again drags Paddy Pimblett to the ground with a front headlock. Justin with a big knee as Paddy attempts to stand. A good left and then a big right drops ‘The Baddy’. Round three of the UFC 324 headliner begins and Justin Gaethje is back on the attack. He lands a low kick. Paddy Pimblett is busted up. His corner is calling for a takedown. ‘The Baddy’ with a good right hand and then a low kick. He lands a nice jab up the middle. Gaethje with a left hook and then a low kick. Paddy looks to answer but his punches fall just short. Justin with a nice right. Paddy answers with a pair of solid jabs. Another big jab rocks the chin of Gaethje. Pimblett goes high with a kick. Another big right from ‘The Highlight’. A left and Paddy is back down on the ground. He scrambles to his feet and lands a low kick. Gaethje answers with a big right hand. Paddy was rocked there for a second. A big left and now a right from Gaethje. Huge shots from the veteran. Paddy somehow remains standing. 90-seconds remain. A big jab from Justin Gaethje lands flush. Paddy Pimblett with a kick to the body in return. Paddy’s face is a mess. The Liverpool native with a backfist and then a body kick. He lands a big combination. Gaethje dives in and gets a takedown. The horn sounds to end round four.

The fifth and final round begins and these lightweight warriors are throwing down. They clinch against the cage. Gaethje with a pair of big shots. Paddy gets back to range but eats a low kick in the process. Pimblett likely needs a finish here. He dives for a takedown but ‘The Highlight’ is able to defend. Only half the round remains. More big shots from both men. Paddy Pimblett with a big combination. Justin Gaethje forces the clinch. The fighters break and we are back to range. More big shots right until the final horn.
