Drake Riggs - October 10, 2018
The last big Fox show for the UFC will take place on December 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As the card takes shape, we now know the headliner. In February 2014, at UFC 169 a young prospect by the name of Kevin Lee (17-3) made his UFC debut with a perfect 7-0 record. Standing across from him would be The Ultimate Fighter season 15 finalist, “Ragin'” Al Iaquinta (13-4-1).
Referee Marc Goddard defends main event officiating after Kevin Lee calls "bulls**t"
Tom Taylor - September 23, 2018
Last night, in the main event of UFC Sao Paulo, Thiago Santos stepped into the cage with short-notice replacement opponent Eryk Anders. Toward the end of the third round, Santos began unloading on Anders on the ground, punishing him with thudding punches and elbows to the head. Remarkably, however, Anders survived until round’s end. Unfortunately, Anders could not regain his footing once the round was over. Although it his cornermen attempted to peel him off the canvas, he collapsed not once, but twice, which prompted referee Marc Goddard to wave the fight off.
Kevin Lee predicts Conor McGregor will KO Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 229 main event
Tom Taylor - August 30, 2018
On October 6, in the main event of UFC 229, undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will attempt to defend his title opposite former lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Kevin Lee, who is one of the top contenders in the division, will be watching this fight very closely. If Lee is able to win his next fight, which is not yet scheduled, he might just find himself in the cage with the Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor winner some time thereafter. So who does he think that winner will be?
Kevin Lee targeting fight with "f***ing madman" Justin Gaethje
Tom Taylor - August 30, 2018
When Justin Gaethje knocked out James Vick in the main event of last Saturday’s UFC Lincoln card, he got the attention of a fellow lightweight contender in Kevin Lee. Speaking on Submission Radio this week, Kevin Lee discussed Justin Gaethje’s big win, and said he’d love to fight him next.
Kevin Lee had an interesting reaction to Justin Gaethje's big UFC Lincoln win
Tom Taylor - August 27, 2018
Over the weekend, in the main event of the action-packed UFC Lincoln card, former World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje authored a violent, one-punch knockout of his rival James Vick. With this victory, Gaethje served to separate himself from the first losses of his career: back to back knockouts dealt by Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier. The win also helped reestablish Gaethje as one of the lightweight division’s top players, and set him up for more big fights in the near future.

Drake Riggs - August 17, 2018
“I’d rather fight Khabib [Nurmagomedov] to be honest. Just because…people see him as just this unstoppable tank. Ya know, Conor [McGregor’s] already got a couple losses on there. So Conor takes it away from me.

Kevin Lee wants to "beat the f*** out of Anthony Pettis" at UFC 229
Tom Taylor - August 14, 2018
Surging UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee is hoping for a spot on the stacked UFC 229 lineup. Yet with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz all booked up, his options in terms of opponents are fairly slim. Luckily for Kevin Lee former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is currently enjoying a career resurgence. Lee thinks that a fight with the former champ might be just what the doctor ordered. A big win over Pettis might even be enough to convince Georges St-Pierre, who he called out previously, that he’s a worthy opponent.
Al Iaquinta issues fiery response to Kevin Lee's callout
Tom Taylor - August 6, 2018
Kevin Lee is one of the top contenders in the UFC lightweight division. Unfortunately, “The Motown Phenom” remains largely overshadowed by his peers Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier. Perhaps sensing that a title shot is not quite within his reach, Kevin Lee recently made a clever callout of fan favorite lightweight contender Al Iaquinta.
Kevin Lee: we're just "waiting for somebody to die" from weight cutting
Tom Taylor - July 24, 2018
Weight cutting is one of the most controversial issues in mixed martial arts — not only because fight cards are frequently derailed by fighters missing their contracted weights, but because the practice itself is incredibly dangerous. Despite the massive drawbacks and risks associated with weight-cutting, the practice continues. Ahead of every fight card, the fighters on the bill dehydrate themselves to extreme levels in order to hit their marks.
Al Iaquinta ridicules Kevin Lee for calling for 165-pound weight class
Tom Taylor - June 25, 2018
UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee has long been adamant that the UFC needs a 165-pound division, citing the fact that many fighters are too big to easily make the lightweight division’s 155-pound limit, but are also undersized for the 170-pound welterweight division. The key would be to abolish the 170-pound welterweight division, and in it’s place add 165 and 175 pound divisions. “The 155 pound and 170 pound [divisions] are so messed up right now,” Lee said in a recent interview with The Straits Times. “You’ve got three titles between the two divisions already, so they’ve got to add another weight class.

One of the topics of conversation was Tony Ferguson, who Lee lost to in an interim title bout in October of 2017. Ferguson was recently supposed to battle Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 223, but was unfortunately forced out of the fight with a freak leg injury just a week ahead of the event. Ferguson then went under the knife to repair this injury, and is currently recovering from surgery.
Kevin Lee explains why he missed weight for bout with Edson Barboza
Tom Taylor - April 24, 2018
Kevin Lee could not have looked much more impressive in his Saturday night defeat of Edson Barboza. Regrettably, there’s an ever-so-small asterisk attached to his victory, as he narrowly missed weight for the bout. Speaking on the MMA Hour on Monday, Lee explained why he believes he missed weight. The main factor, as he said in a quick statement issued right after his weigh-in miss, was simply a shortage of time. He just couldn’t get the remaining weight off in the time he had.
