Details emerge regarding Ken Shamrock’s failed drug test

By bjpenndotcom - April 8, 2016

Back in February, Ken Shamrock lost to Royce Gracie via 1st round TKO in the main event of Bellator 149.

Following the fight, it was revealed that Shamrock tested positive for banned substances, something he has since denied using.

MMAJunkie has the statement from TDLR’s Jason DeBord:

“Respondent stated he is certain the results are not from an illegal substance and believes the results stem from medications prescribed to him from his doctor to control swollen pituitary glands in his brain,”

Shamrock explained that he was taking the medications “due to high testosterone readings that concerned him to thinking it was cancer.”

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
