UFC 325 Results: Billy Elekana stops Junior Tafa in Round 2 (Video)

We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC 325 results, including the featured prelim between Junior Tafa and Billy Elekana.

Tafa (6-5 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since suffering a submission loss to Tuco Tokkos this past July in Nashville. Prior to that setback, ‘The Juggernaut’ was coming off a second-round TKO victory over Sean Sharaf in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Billy Elekana (10-2 MMA) will enter tonight’s contest sporting a two-fight winning streak, this after earning wins over Kevin Christian and Ibo Aslan in his most recent Octagon appearances.

Round one of the UFC 325 featured prelim begins and Junior Tafa lands a hard inside low kick as Billy Elekana attempts to close the distance. A body kick from Tafa connects. He lands a big left over the top and Elekana goes down. He quickly scrambles to his feet and forces the clinch. Tafa breaks the hold and gets back to range. He lands a low kick and then leaps in with a 1-2. Elekana looks for a takedown, but it is not there. Tafa with a nice check left hook. Billy Elekana answers with a good jab. Junior Tafa retreats and Billy immediately shoots in for a takedown. He presses Junior against the cage but can’t complete the attempt. Tafa with a good jab on the break. 90-seconds remain in the opening round. Tafa with a jab to the body. He lands a big right and then partially connects with an uppercut. Billy remains upright and, on his feet, but he’s moving backwards now. Tafa with a kick to the body. Elekana answers with a jab up the middle. Another nice right hand partially connects for Junior Tafa. He rips the body and goes upstairs with a nice combo to close out the opening round.

Round two of the UFC 325 featured prelim begins and Billy Elekana throws a front kick to the body. Junior Tafa answers with a jab to the mid-section. The light heavyweights trade jabs. Billy with a nice counter hook. Junior with a left jab and then a sneaky right. Elekana with a big right that stuns Junior. He lands a pair of follow up jabs. Tafa goes to the body with a right hand. He swings and misses with a wild shot which allows Billy Elekana to shoot in and score a takedown. Billy immediately moves to the back and flattens Junior Tafa out. This is not good if you’re a fan of Tafa. Elekana locks in a body triangle and begins to work for the choke. He locks it up and this one is all over! WOW!
