The online sportsbook Bovada has updated the odds for this potential trilogy fight after Jones’ UFC 232 defeat of Alexander Gustafsson, and Jones has been pegged as a -265 betting favorite over his arch rival. This means that a successful bet of $265 on Jones would win you $100. Cormier, meanwhile, is now a +205 underdog, meaning a successful $100 bet on him would earn you $205.

After defeating Alexander Gustafsson in the UFC 232 main event, Jon Jones is once again perched atop the light heavyweight rankings, though he still sits behind Daniel Cormier — a man he’s beaten previously — on the pound-for-pound list.

Last night, the UFC held its final pay-per-view of 2018 in Inglewood, California and had two titles on the line. For all the negative attention the card got after being moved from Las Vegas to California, it ended up delivering. In the co-main event, Amanda Nunes shocked the world and knocked out Cris Cyborg in just 51 seconds to become the first-ever female fighter to hold UFC titles in two divisions. Then, in the main event, Jon Jones TKO’d Alexander Gustafsson in the third round to reclaim the light heavyweight belt.

In the main event of UFC 232 on Saturday night in LA, former UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and fearsome Swedish contender Alexander Gustafsson finally stepped into the cage for a rematch of their 2013 classic. Just as it was in their first fight, the light heavyweight title was on the line. Throughout the first round, Jon Jones showed off far more striking diversity than he did in his first fight with Gustafsson, landing kicks and punches across all levels, a crackling elbow to the dome, and unfortunately, a knee to the cup. Alexander Gustafsson, however, had answers for every one of the former champion’s many takedown attempts.
