Frankie Edgar gets called out by a former title challenger following UFC Atlantic City
Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar rebounded from his first career stoppage loss at last night’s UFC event in Atlantic City by scoring a dominant decision victory over fellow featherweight contender Cub Swanson.
“The Answer” had entered his second career fight with “Killer Cub” on the heels of a first-round knockout loss to Brian Ortega which occured just fifty days ago at UFC 222 in Las Vegas.
After cruising past Swanson for the second time in his career, Frankie Edgar decided to call for the winner of July’s Brian Ortega vs. Max Holloway UFC 226 title fight during his post-fight interview.
While not many fighters appear to be chomping at the bit for a chance to fight Frankie Edgar, who is 8-2 in his past ten fights overall, one former featherweight title challenger is!
“The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung took to Instagram last night where he issued the following statement directed at Frankie Edgar.

Following his impresive victory over Bermudez, “The Korean Zombie” was slated to fight fellow fromer title challenger Ricardo Lamas at UFC 214.
Unfortunately for fight fans, Chan Sung Jung suffered a torn ACL in his knee and was forced out of his highly anticipated fight with “The Bully”.
“The Korean Zombie” fough for the UFC coveted feathgerweight championship in 2013 at UFC 163 where he was defeated by Jose Aldo via fourth-round TKO after suffering a should injury.
Chan Sung Jung is almost fully receovered from his knee surgery and is now looking to score a statement win by fighting UFC legend Frankie Edgar.
