Both men gassed out in the fight extremely quick, forcing referee ‘Big’ John McCarthy to even stand the fighters up at one point when Kimbo had mount.

Ultimately, Kimbo Slice was awarded the win after Dada 5000 collapsed to the canvas. It was revealed post-fight that Dada 5000 was suffering from renal failure as a result of cutting 40 pounds for the fight.

Dada 5000’s family released a statement on some comments made by UFC commentator Joe Rogan, which was obtained by ESPN:

“The Harris family is appalled at the overtly racist and offensive comments directed at Dada 5000 by Joe Rogan who said in an interview that Dada’s heart was filled with ‘cheeseburgers, fried chicken and orange soda,’ mocking the family’s statement issued the previous day.

“We don’t recall Mr. Rogan ever challenging anyone with this amount of vitriol and ignorant racial overtones, all directed to a man who is still hospitalized.”
