While he has definitely elevated his station in the industry with his ceaseless trash talk and bravado, he also receives a ton of hate from the fans and his fellow fighters as a result. If there’s anybody who could mentor Danis on how to deal with this kind of backlash, it’s his friend and training parter Conor McGregor. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday, Dillon Danis explained that Conor McGregor has actually given him a few crucial pieces of advice to this end.

Dillon Danis will not make his return to the Bellator cage quite as soon as we initially expected. Danis was originally scheduled to face Max Humphrey on May 11 on the Bellator 221 card in Chicago, however plans have changed. Instead, he will fight June 14 at Bellator NYC in New York against the same opponent in a 175-pound catchweight bout. The 25-year-old announced the switch up on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show Monday.

Last month, Irish MMA star Conor McGregor found himself in hot water after getting into an ugly altercation with a fan, and smashing that fan’s cell phone. After this incident, Ahmed Abdirzak, the owner of the phone, sought more than $15,000 in damages, accusing McGregor of battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The incident was captured on video. In this video, McGregor could be seen stomping Abdirzak’s phone.

The legal troubles appear to be continuing for former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor. According to The Mirror, the Irish MMA star is being accused of assaulting a fellow patron inside a bar called the Marble Arch in the Drimnagh suburb of his native Dublin, Ireland. The news was first reported by Dizz on Twitter.

Justin Gaethje is making it known who and which fight he wants next. Always one to run straight into the fire, Gaethje told TMZ earlier this week he is hoping to get a crack at Conor McGregor next — even if he has to travel to Ireland to do it. “There are so many [potential] fights right now, but Conor sounds like he’s coming back, so I’m the man,” Gaethje said in an interview with TMZ. “If he’s going to fight someone it has to be me.”

Current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway recently discussed the ugliness of the ongoing feud between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. “You know, that things is, it’s not even a fighting thing. I don’t even worry about it.” Holloway said on The Luke Thomas Show. “I’m glad that Dana White said he was going to step in and intervene. So that’s good. But, you know these guys go such a platform. You know, let’s talk about.. what I’ve been saying is climate change. Everybody is telling me that it is supposed to be warmer right now, and it’s cold here! In Hawaii it’s cold! It’s like seventy degrees. Maybe not cold to you guys, but it is cold to me. Climate change is real guys and the earth is not flat! So let’s talk about stories like that. Paulie Malignaggi has been itching to fight Conor McGregor for close to two years. As of yet, however, all he’s gotten is an ongoing Twitter beef, and the potential for a bare knuckle fight with McGregor’s training partner Artem Lobov. After a recent skirmish with Artem Lobov at a media day in New York City, Paulie Malignaggi says he’s no longer worried about Conor McGregor whatsoever, because he believes the Irishman is scared. Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s online trash-talk took a turn for the worse yesterday. The two sent personal attacks back and forth, where both went after each others families, with McGregor also seemingly taking a shot at Nurmagomedov’s religion. It got so bad that UFC President, Dana White issued a statement that the UFC would speak to both camps about their behavior to try and stop it from continuing.

The trash talk between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov has reached new heights over the last few days, as McGregor has once again targeted his rival’s religion, and Nurmagomedov returned fire by calling the Irishman a “rapist.” Speaking to TMZ, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz explained how Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted to this latest verbal assault from Conor McGregor. Apparently, the lightweight champ just smiled — which is a dangerous sign.

Yesterday afternoon, at a press conference in New York, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) fighters Paulie Malignaggi and Artem Lobov got into a heated scuffle (see it here). This scuffle began with some face-to-face trash talk, and reached a climax when Malignaggi slapped Lobov and the pair had to be separated.
