Yesterday afternoon, at a press conference in New York, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) fighters Paulie Malignaggi and Artem Lobov got into a heated scuffle (see it here).
This scuffle began with some face-to-face trash talk, and reached a climax when Malignaggi slapped Lobov and the pair had to be separated.
Not long thereafter, Artem Lobov training partner Conor McGregor took to social media with a reaction to this heated encounter. He did not hold back, posting a slew of images from his infamous 2017 sparring session with Malignaggi.
It did not take long for Paulie Malignaggi to respond to this dig from Conor McGregor. In his response, he encouraged the Irishman to release the full video of their sparring session, once again suggesting this full video will tell a different story. He also promised to put Artem Lobov in a coma.
“You gotta post the whole spar for it to count,” Malignaggi wrote in his response. “We all know only pussies post clips n snippets AND we already know overall you STAY gettin your ass whipped when full vids are public. I’m gonna put your boy in a coma n there aint shit your gonna do about it pussy.”
Artem Lobov is scheduled to fight fellow UFC veteran Jason Knight in the main event of BKFC 5 this weekend. If he wins this fight, the expectation is that he will fight the retired boxer Paulie Malignaggi sometime later this year. Potentially as soon as June.
