Unfortunate news surfaced Friday night that top ranked UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson has been forced to withdraw form his upcoming UFC Fight Night 100 headlining scrap against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

MMAFighitng broke the news, which also revealed that at the present time, there has been no word as to what the injury that forced Gustafsson out of the bout is.

The same report also revealed that #4 ranked light heavyweight Ryan Bader would be stepping in for Gustafsson on short notice for the November 19th scrap against the younger Nogueira brother.

Bader wins

Bader will be heading into the bout on a win, rebounding from his UFC on FOX 18 loss to Anthony Johnson in January by knocking out Ilir Latifi earlier this month at ‘UFC Hamburg’.

Lil Nog on the other hand will also be coming into the bout on a 1st round win after picking up a 1st round TKO win over Patrick Cummins at UFC 198 back in May. The win over Cummins snapped Nogueira’s 2-fight losing streak that had seen him lose to Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.

With Bader stepping in to replace Gustafsson, the fight card is currently as follows:

Ryan Bader vs. Antônio Rogério Nogueira
Luis Henrique vs. Christian Colombo
Thales Leites vs. Krzysztof Jotko
Johnny Eduardo vs. Manvel Gamburyan
Matheus Nicolau vs. Ulka Sasaki
Sérgio Moraes vs. Michael Graves
Cláudia Gadelha vs. Cortney Casey
Pedro Munhoz vs. Justin Scoggins
Cezar Ferreira vs. Jack Hermansson
