Adam Fugitt expecting a ‘banger’ against Ty Miller at UFC 324: ‘Kill-or-be-killed’

Adam Fugitt admits he was surprised he got offered to fight on UFC 324, which is the first card of the Paramount era.

Fugitt is set to take on Ty Miller to open up the card in an intriguing fight at welterweight. Given that Fugitt is 2-3 in the UFC, he admits he was surprised he got booked to fight on the Paramount debut card.

“I’m excited but very much surprised I got the call,” Fugitt said on Just Scrap Radio on BJPENN.com. “We just started to get to work. … It’s good for me, it was an odd end of the year, so this timing is good for me.”

Given that Fugitt hasn’t fought since July, he has had time to make some changes, like changing gyms. He’s now working under Tim Welch at RedHawk Academy, which he felt was a move that was needed.

When Fugitt makes the walk to the Octagon, he will be taking on another undefeated fighter. That is nothing new for the veteran.

“This is who they offered me, they call, and I say, let’s go. 6-0 pro, has a lot of confidence in his hands, has some hype, has some high-level finishes. … I’m fighting in the UFC, and I can’t take anything personal. I just take who they give me,” Fugitt said.

Although Miller has some hype and is undefeated, Adam Fugitt has plenty of confidence in himself heading into UFC 324. He also knows the fight likely won’t last long, one way or another.

“I think my nature is kill-or-be-killed. I could see this one getting stopped early. He’s gone the distance before, I know I have that dog, he has it, so maybe we have a three-round banger,” Fugitt added.

If Fugitt does get his hand raised, the goal is to have an active 2026 and start to prove he’s not just a stepping stone for up-and-comers.

“I haven’t given that much thought. I know it looks good, anyone they put me against, they think highly of, and if I can beat them, it looks highly on me,” Fugitt concluded.
