Ryan Garcia is open to a rematch with Devin Haney, but he has fired a warning shot.

Garcia is fresh off a dominant WBC welterweight title win over Mario Barrios on Feb. 21. It was the first non-interim world title victory for “KingRy.” Many argue it’s the best performance of Garcia’s career to date.

One top boxer who was paying attention to the matchup was Haney. During the DAZN broadcast for the Emanuel Navarrete vs. Eduardo Nunez junior lightweight title fight, Haney expressed interest in sharing the Octagon with Garcia a second time.

Garcia caught wind of “The Dream’s” comments and he made a bold promise on his X account.

“Haney if it’s time to end you it’s time,” Garcia wrote. “You will be erased, I heard you speaking my name. If this is what you want! Let’s start the discussions. Mark my words you’ll never fight again after this, so let that sink in and accept it before you say yes.”

Garcia and Haney shared the boxing ring back in April 2024. “KingRy” initially scored a majority decision win. That result was overturned when Garcia failed a drug test after popping for Ostarine. Garcia has insisted that he never knowingly took the banned substance.

Haney filed a lawsuit against Garcia for fraud and battery, but a tentative settlement between the two sides was reached. “The Dream” has decided to pursue a rematch with “KingRy” instead of continuing with legal matters. During his appearance on Saturday’s DAZN broadcast, Haney shared his belief that a second showdown with Garcia is the biggest match in boxing.

Since his first meeting with Garcia, Haney has scored unanimous decision wins over Jose Ramirez and Brian Norman Jr. While Haney’s performance against Ramirez was widely criticized, he turned in a stellar showing against Norman on his way to winning the WBO welterweight title.
