Jake Paul has opened as a large betting favorite for his newly announced boxing match with Mike Tyson.

Jake Paul

It was Jake Paul who earlier today broke the news that he would be fighting Mike Tyson on Saturday, July 20th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The boxing bout will stream exclusively on Netflix.

Paul, taking to ‘X‘, posted the following announcement:

“Promotion, promotion, promotion — if I’m being honest, it don’t need that. The biggest fight of the 21st century, in the biggest NFL stadium in the U.S., broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world, that’s the MVP way. Whether you’re tuning in on Netflix or showing out in person, whether you’re Team Paul or Team Tyson, or whether you’re a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you’re not going to want to miss this event.”

Continuing, Jake Paul stated:

“I could not be more excited to make this amazing fight available to all Netflix subscribers alongside the hardest hitter of all time, Mike Tyson, on Saturday, July 20th. My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put ‘Iron’ Mike to sleep.”

It didn’t take long for betting lines to open up and initially Jake Paul is the favorite.

‘DraftKings Sportsbook’ is showing the 27 year old Paul as the -360 betting favorite.  Tyson, who will be 58 come July, is currently sitting at +300 as the underdog.

As a -360 favorite, a $100 bet would result in a $27.78 profit, plus the initial investment of $100.

As a +300 underdog, a $100 wager would turn into a $300 return, plus the initial investment of $100.

It is expected that these betting numbers will fluctuate over the next several weeks.

Will you be placing any bets concerning the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing bout? Who do you anticipate will win come July 20th?
