UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell went from fan favorite to one of Mixed Martial Arts’ most-hated personalities in a year. After anti-semitic remarks he made during the opening episode of his podcast, Mitchell hasn’t been in the good graces of the UFC matchmakers and fans.

The UFC Vegas 113 weigh-ins had its share of scale fails, but the main card wasn’t impacted. Every main card fighter made weight for their bouts, which are scheduled to take place on Saturday in Las Vegas. That includes headliners Mario Bautista and Vinicius Oliveira. Bautista clocked in at 135.5 pounds, while Oliveira hit the 136-pound mark. Co-headliners Kyoji Horiguchi and Amir Albazi also hit their target weights. Horiguchi was 126 pounds on Friday, while Albazi’s weight was 125.5 pounds.

That combatant in question is Hiromasa Ougikubo, who is on the heels of winning the Rizin flyweight grand prix, as well as the vacant RFF flyweight title Horiguchi left behind upon re-signing to the UFC, at Rizin’s annual New Year’s Eve show a few weeks back.

Alfie Davis wants to do battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov after  the former gets through his clash this weekend with Usman Nurmagomedov. Davis vs. Nurmagomedov is for the latter’s lightweight title and takes place at PFL Dubai on February 7th. The self described Dagi-Destroyer has quite a history with the Dagestan-based fighters at this point and when expounding upon that, Davis said [via Bowks Talking Bouts], “Yeah, I mean, I beat a Dagestani last time. Obviously I’m going to beat Usman and then I’m going to be calling out Khabib to come out of retirement. Because yeah, there’s going to be no more daggies from the Nurmagomedov school for me to beat. So, I think Khabib has got to lace up them gloves again.”

A surging UFC bantamweight star claims Umar Nurmagomedov has been sidestepping him. Nurmagomedov hasn’t exactly sealed another crack at the UFC Bantamweight Championship. His last five fights have all ended via decision. Nurmagomedov hasn’t scored a finish since early 2023. Finishers and fighters with exciting styles have been highly valued by the UFC brass as of late, and Nurmagomedov might need to find what’s missing before he can get another crack at the 135-pound gold.

Usman Nurmagomedov wasn’t exactly impressed by what he saw in the UFC 324 main event between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett. Gaethje and Pimblett shared the Octagon inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in the headliner for UFC’s debut on Paramount+. Fans got a slugfest with Gaethje finding more success and battering “The Baddy” on his way to a unanimous decision win. While the interim UFC lightweight title fight was exciting, it wasn’t without its detractors.
