Bo Nickal accuses Colby Covington of lying after claiming he was never offered UFC White House fight: ‘There are receipts!’

UFC middleweight contender Bo Nickal called out Colby Covington for alleged false claims about a recent fight offer for the White House event.
The full UFC White House card was recently released by UFC CEO Dana White, drawing mixed reactions from fans and pundits. A UFC lightweight title matchup between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje will headline the card, featuring an interim heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane.
Several of U.S. President Donald Trump’s avid UFC fighter supporters, including Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal, were left off of the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 fight lineup. According to Masvidal, the UFC matchmakers are actively looking at solidifying a comeback fight for the inaugural BMF titleholder in the coming weeks.
One of Trump’s favorite fighters, middleweight Bo Nickal, will fight Kyle Daukaus in an intriguing stylistic matchup at the White House. The matchup came to fruition after weeks of Nickal calling for a showdown with Covington at middleweight on the White House lawn.
Covington recently denied ever getting offered a fight with Nickal at the White House, despite Nickal’s recent callouts. It didn’t take long for the star middleweight Nickal to address Covington’s claims.
Bo Nickal: Colby Covington ‘is a liar’ after claiming UFC never offered White House fight
In a recent post to X, Nickal appeared to respond to Covington.
“Colby is a liar,” Nickal said of Covington.
“1. There are text message receipts of him being offered the fight. 2. I saw him weigh in at RAF with my own eyes at 198lbs. He will never fight me because he knows I’ll kill him.”
Covington hasn’t fought since a doctor’s stoppage loss to welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley at UFC Tampa in 2024. Meanwhile, Nickal will return to the Octagon for the first time since a brutal head kick knockout win at UFC 322.
While Covington hasn’t fully ruled out a future move to middleweight, it appears that the Nickal matchup won’t come to fruition anytime soon. But the conversation about who is to blame for the fight not happening continues to be a hot debate between the two UFC stars.
