Former UFC welterweight title challenger Nick Diaz is hinting at a combat sports return. Diaz (26-10 MMA) has not fought since September of 2021 when he went up against Robbie Lawler (30-16 MMA) at UFC 266. The result was a TKO loss for Diaz.

At the age of 41, Jan Blachowicz is still seen as a contender in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. He’s lost just two of his last nine outings, with his most recent appearance being a tight split decision defeat to Alex Pereira. Following that bout, he was set for a rematch against Aleksandar Rakic, but he was forced to pull out as he required shoulder surgery.

Andre Lima has revealed what he was thinking when Igor Severino bit him during their UFC Vegas 89 fight. Lima vs. Severino was a battle of two unbeaten prospects who were looking to take a step forward in their pro MMA careers. No one could’ve expected the outcome of the fight, as Severino went full 90s Mike Tyson and took a chunk out of his opponent’s skin after biting him. As a result, Igor was disqualified in round two, and UFC CEO Dana White fired Severino due to his actions during the fight.

UFC Vegas 89 winner Andre Lima got more than he bargained for on fight night, but he made the most of it. Lima took on Igor Severino inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada this past Saturday night. In round two, time had been called as Lima was complaining about a bite from his opponent. The referee waved off the bout. At first, the UFC commentary team felt a warning would’ve been more appropriate, but once Lima showed off the bite mark it was clear that Igor’s actions were intentional.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 89 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Amanda Ribas vs. Rose Namajunas. The highly anticipated women’s flyweight main event proved to be a hard-fought twenty-five-minute affair. Rose Namajunas got off to a strong start in rounds one and two, but Amanda Ribas stormed back to clearly outpoint ‘Thug’ in the third frame. Rounds four and five were closely contested, but Namajunas was able to do just enough to earn a decision victory on all three of the judges’ scorecards. The win marked Rose’s first professional victory at flyweight.
