Vicente Luque is coming off what may very well be the Fight of the Year. At UFC Phoenix, Luque and Bryan Barberena engaged in an unbelievable war and Luque scored a last-second knockout to get the win. Now, Luque is already eyeing his next fight. He wants to fight Neil Magny. Unfortunately for him, Magny has yet to accept his callout.

Israel Adesanya is currently working on conquering the UFC middleweight division, as he’s set to battle Kelvin Gastelum for interim gold at UFC 236. From the sounds of it, however, there could be a move to light heavyweight division in his future, as he’s recently been flirting with the notion of super fight with reigning champ Jon Jones. Speaking to Submission Radio recently, Israel Adesanya said that this is a challenge he looks forward to.
Husband pleads no contest in Rachael Ostovich domestic violence case

Back in November, UFC flyweight Rachael Ostovich was attacked by her husband Arnold Berdon, also an MMA Fighter. This grisly incident, which Ostovich was thankfully able to escape, left her in the hospital with a broken orbital bone. Berdon was initially charged with attempted murder, but this charge was later demoted to second-degree assault, a felony. He previously plead not guilty, but according to a report from MMA Fighting, has pleaded no contest. Per MMA Fighting‘s report, “the no-contest plea means Berdon will not contest the case, but he does not admit guilt. It is considered a conviction.”
Alleged phone-smash victim sues Conor McGregor

According to a report from the Associated Press, which has been confirmed by MMA Fighting, former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor is now being sued by Ahmed Abdirzak, the man who’s cell phone he allegedly smashed in Miami on Monday. Abdirzak is seeking more than $15,000 in damages, accusing Conor McGregor of battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
UFC London weigh-in results: headliners on point, on fighter misses weight

On Saturday night (Saturday afternoon in North America), the UFC will return to our screens with the exciting UFC London card, which airs on ESPN+ (get a free trial here). This UFC London card will be headlined by a crucial welterweight contender bout between former title challenger Darren Till and ferocious veteran Jorge Masvidal. The bout will mark Till’s opportunity to rebound from a failed championship bid opposite Tyron Woodley, and Masvidal’s chance to get back on track after a decision loss to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson — all the way back in November of 2017.

With that said, there has been little trash-talking in the lead up to this weekend’s UFC London headliner between welterweight standouts Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till.

At UFC 234 in February, ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya picked up the biggest win of his still relatively young MMA career when he scored a unanimous decision over former UFC middleweight king, Anderson Silva. Despite the win, not everyone was all too impressed. And that includes the division’s champion, Robert Whittaker who was supposed to be fighting that same night as well until he suffered a collapsed bowel and hernia that forced him out of action.
Tony Ferguson hit with restraining order following alleged domestic violence

The wife of former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson filed a restraining order against her husband on Wednesday, alleging domestic violence. According to online records, Cristina Ferguson filed the restraining order in Orange County Superior Court yesterday.

Colby Covington rips Tyron Woodley for ruining huge grudge match

Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley share one of the biggest rivalries in all of MMA. The two seemingly hate each other and looked destined to fight after Covington won the interim welterweight title in June of 2018. However, Woodley has since lost the UFC welterweight title, having given up a decision to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235.

Back in September, English welterweight contender Darren Till stepped into the Octagon with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. While Till entered this fight as a betting favorite, he was soundly defeated by the champion, succumbing to a submission in the bout’s second round. In hindsight, Till says he wasn’t in the right headspace heading into this fight with the incredibly dangerous Woodley, who has since lost the title. In fact, he says, he was looking right past Woodley.
Miesha Tate comments on recent Conor McGregor arrest

Earlier this week, Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami after allegedly smashing a fan’s phone. It’s been widely speculated that the Irish MMA star lost his cool when the fan got a little too pushy. Former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, who has spent plenty of time in the public eye herself, understands why McGregor got frustrated but reminds that the fan was not breaking any laws.
