The former World Series of Fighting lightweight champion, Gaethje, will be looking to build off the momentum of his first-round knockout victory over James Vick this past August in Lincoln.

Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor had a heated rivalry in the lead up to their featherweight title fight at UFC 194 in December of 2015. McGregor taunted Aldo profusely at the pre-fight press conferences before eventually knocking out the long time 145-pound kingpin in just thirteen-seconds (twelve if you ask Conor) in the fight itself.

Current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will be back in September, this according to UFC President Dana White. “The Eagle”, who was last seen in action against Conor McGregor this past October, is currently serving a suspension for his involvement in the now infamous UFC 229 post-fight brawl.

It was a rather easy selection for UFC officials, as “The Count” was not only one of the most winningest fighters in promotional history, but he was also the UFC’s first ever British champion.
