Michael Bisping fires back at Tim Sylvia over Hall of Fame comments

By Chris Taylor - March 30, 2019

Earlier this month it was announced that former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping would be getting inducted into the promotions Hall of Fame later this summer in Las Vegas.

It was a rather easy selection for UFC officials, as “The Count” was not only one of the most winningest fighters in promotional history, but he was also the UFC’s first ever British champion.

While many fellow fighters took to social media to congratulate Bisping on his achievement, former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia was left unimpressed.

“I can’t help but laugh when i see stuff like this,” Sylvia wrote on Twitter in response to the Michael Bisping Hall of Fame announcement. “When @frankshamrock @jens_pulver and myself are all out here like wtf really.”

As expected, Tim Sylvia’s comments did not sit well with “The Count”.

The former UFC middleweight champion, Bisping, fired back at Syliva during his most recent “Believe You Me” podcast:

“I did see that. Tim Sylvia, the lanky streak of piss that he is. The unathletic, bastard, gargantuan, weird looking motherf*cker that he is came out and talked some sh*t about me. He said it’s laughable that I was in the Hall of Fame and that him, Pat Miletich, and Jens Pulver, the fact that they weren’t in the Hall of Fame just shows it’s whoever kisses Dana White’s ass the most. Okay Tim, nice but dim Tim. Shut up. I mean are you surprised that he’s not in the Hall of Fame? Jesus Christ!”

Most recently Tim Sylvia took to Twitter in an effort to clarify his previous comments. The former heavyweight champion insists that he has no issue with Michael Bisping being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, but hates seeing other legends of the sport being overlooked.

“I never said @bisping don’t belong in the HOF. What i said was i have to laugh cause there is many others that keep getting over looked. Hope that helps all the wankers that are crying about what was said.” – Tim Sylvia
